Deputy Manager – Pumps & Dewatering Solutions (Mining Sector)
Job Description
• Drive direct sales and business development for pumps and dewatering systems. • Assess client site conditions and propose optimized pump solutions. • Handle technical and commercial tendering, proposals, and negotiations. • Perform selection, sizing, and performance estimation for: – Slurry Pumps (single & multistage centrifugal) – Dewatering Pumps – Positive Displacement Pumps • Conduct site visits for surveys, demos, and troubleshooting. • Coordinate with OEMs, engineers, and installation teams for system commissioning. • Track market trends, competitor activities, and mining project updates. • Meet sales targets and maintain CRM records.
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Mining Engineering or related field
Experience Level
5–15 years in industrial pump sales, preferably within mining • Strong technical expertise in pump hydraulics, materials, and dewatering challenges. • Excellent client relationship and solution-selling skills. • Fluent in English (French preferred but not mandatory). • Willing to travel extensively across DRC.
