Job Description
• Oversee end-to-end open-cast and surface mining operations. • Manage large-scale mining teams, ensuring optimal production and efficiency. • Implement advanced mine planning and scheduling using relevant software. • Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and safety standards. • Drive operational excellence through cost optimization and sustainability initiatives. • Provide strategic direction for exploration, production, and resource utilization. • Lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, geology, and logistics.
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mining Engineering or related discipline
Experience Level
18–25 years in Open Cast / Open Pit / Surface Mining operations • Proven track record in managing large-scale surface mining operations. • Strong knowledge of mine planning software and production control systems. • Deep understanding of safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental frameworks. • Experience in non-ferrous metal mining preferred. • Exposure to international or remote project sites will be an added advantage
