General Manager – Mining (GM Mining)
Job Description
• Oversee end-to-end mining operations for open cast mines • Lead production planning, operational strategy, and team management • Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies • Manage resources, manpower, and equipment for optimized production • Drive operational improvements and cost efficiencies • Coordinate with senior management to achieve organizational goals • Maintain highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering; Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
Experience Level
Minimum 15 years in mining, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; experience in open-cast mining of non-ferrous metals (Copper preferred)
