Mine Manager (Senior Mining Engineer)
Job Description
Operational Leadership:Manage daily mining operations, production targets, and safety standards to ensure environmental compliance and site safety. Technical Planning: Develop life-of-mine (LOM) plans, mine designs, and rolling production schedules using specialized software. Engineering Oversight: Lead technical teams (engineers, geologists), monitor stope reconciliation, and optimize underground or surface extraction techniques. Project Management: Oversee capital mine access designs, budget, and scheduling for development and construction projects. Safety & Compliance: Act as a key stakeholder in regulatory compliance, risk management (e.g., ground fall, ventilation), and site safety management systems. Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and technical staff while fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
