Job Description
Lead end-to-end Steel Melting Shop (SMS) operations – IF / EAF, LRF, VD, CCM Oversee Hot Rolling Mill performance and productivity Drive shutdown planning, preventive maintenance, and reliability strategies Improve process stability, yield, and power optimization Ensure billet chemistry control and metallurgical consistency Provide cross-functional leadership across Production, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, and Safety teams Drive cost control, consumables optimization, and plant efficiency Support plant commissioning and capacity ramp-up activities

Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree preferred
Experience Level
15+ years of experience in steel manufacturing Strong exposure to Induction Furnace / Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)-based SMS operations Experience in integrated melting-to-rolling operations Experience in plant commissioning / capacity ramp-up preferred Africa experience is an added advantage
Additional Information
Candidates with strong SMS and rolling mill experience preferred Leadership experience in integrated steel plants is mandatory International / Africa experience is a strong advantage Immediate joiners or short notice candidates preferred
