General Manager – SMS & Rolling Mill
Job Description
• Manage SMS operations including melting efficiency, yield improvement, and productivity enhancement • Oversee Rolling Mill operations for long products and QST bar production • Drive production planning and ensure achievement of manufacturing targets • Implement process optimization and cost reduction initiatives • Monitor plant KPIs and drive continuous improvement programs • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications • Lead health, safety, and environmental compliance initiatives • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, procurement, and commercial teams for smooth plant operations

Education & Experience
Education
B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience Level
• Minimum 20+ years of experience in the Steel Industry • Extensive experience in Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and Rolling Mill Operations • Experience in producing Long Products and QST Bars • Prior leadership experience as Plant Head, General Manager, Senior Manager, or equivalent role • International experience preferred
