Mud Engineer (HDD)
Job Description
Design, mix, and maintain drilling fluids for HDD operations. Monitor and optimize drilling fluid performance throughout project execution. Manage bentonite systems and drilling fluid properties. Operate and oversee solid control systems. Troubleshoot drilling fluid-related issues to minimize downtime. Optimize drilling performance through effective fluid management. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety, and environmental standards. Provide technical support to drilling operations at project sites.
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Experience Level
Proven experience as a Mud Engineer on Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects
Additional Information
Proven experience as a Mud Engineer on HDD projects is mandatory. Strong knowledge of drilling fluids design, mixing, maintenance, solids control, and bentonite management is required. Candidates must be willing to work at project sites in Nigeria.
