General Manager – Projects
Job Description
Lead Greenfield project initiation, planning, execution, and commissioning. Oversee project implementation from concept through successful plant start-up. Ensure mechanical completion, testing, pre-commissioning, and final commissioning activities. Coordinate with project engineering and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle. Plan and manage medium to large chemical facility operations. Drive project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Liaise with government bodies and regulatory authorities. Obtain statutory approvals and project clearances. Coordinate land acquisition activities where required. Facilitate development of power infrastructure and electrical connectivity.
Education & Experience
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a premier institute in India. Additional certifications in Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience Level
Minimum 25+ years of experience in the Chemical/Process Industry. Strong experience in Greenfield project development from concept to commissioning. Experience in Tantalum and Niobium projects is highly preferred.
Additional Information
Candidates with Tantalum and Niobium project experience will be given strong preference. Minimum 25 years of relevant experience is mandatory. Strong understanding of local laws, statutory clearances, and regulatory requirements is essential. Candidates must be willing to relocate and work in Namibia.
