Legal Manager
Job Description
Manage the company's corporate legal matters. Provide legal advice and guidance to management and business teams. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial and corporate agreements. Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian and other relevant African laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks. Manage corporate documentation and legal records. Support business operations on legal and regulatory matters. Liaise with external lawyers, legal consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders. Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the business
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent legal qualification. Admission to the relevant Bar / professional legal body as applicable. Additional corporate/commercial law qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience Level
10+ years of experience after Law graduation. Minimum 5 years of experience managing corporate legal matters for a company. Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in Nigeria or another African country. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
