Head of Procurement – Mining Projects
Job Description
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project milestones. Oversee the complete procurement cycle from requisition to delivery. Build and maintain strong local and international supplier networks. Drive cost savings through negotiation, benchmarking, and value engineering. Manage international procurement, imports, logistics, and compliance. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team. Coordinate procurement activities to support project execution and plant commissioning. Ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials, equipment, and services. Strengthen supplier performance and on-time delivery. Ensure procurement governance, compliance, and risk management.
Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification or professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP preferred.
Experience Level
15+ years of procurement and supply chain experience. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Additional Information
Experience in international procurement and import logistics is essential. Candidates with mining, mineral processing, EPC, or heavy engineering experience will be preferred.
