Engineer – Mine Planning (Open Pit Mine)
Job Description
Develop reliable and timely Life of Mine (LOM) and long-term mine plans. Optimize mine designs and production schedules. Generate optimized LOM scenarios to support business strategy. Manage stakeholders across mine planning and cross-functional site teams. Identify site improvement opportunities and replicate best practices. Assess technical risks and opportunities at mine-site level. Coordinate with geological, geotechnical and metallurgical technical teams. Align and communicate key technical work-package deliverables.
Education & Experience
Education
BE / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Mining Engineering, Geology or equivalent – essential
Experience Level
5+ years in mine planning; open-pit mining experience, preferably copper/cobalt operations
Additional Information
Site-based role. Copper/cobalt mining exposure is preferred.
