General Manager – Mining
Job Description
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the mining operation. Ensure achievement of production, financial, safety, and operational objectives. Take responsibility for OPEX and CAPEX budgets and overall operational financial performance. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Foster and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the operation. Ensure effective resource allocation and operational planning. Lead high-performance teams and build a strong organizational culture. Monitor production costs, profitability, recovery, equipment performance, and overall operational efficiency.

Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in: Mining Engineering, OR Metallurgical Engineering. MBA, MBL, or other relevant postgraduate management qualification would be advantageous.
Experience Level
Minimum 15 years’ experience within the mining industry. Proven experience in gold mining operations, preferably open-cast mining.
