Job Description
Procurement Strategy & Resins Sourcing: Develop annual/long-term category sourcing strategies for raw polymers (PP, HDPE, PET, PVC, masterbatches, additives), engineering spares, and tooling; balance local vs. international sourcing to optimize landed cost and inventory levels. Packaging & Direct Materials: Direct procurement for rigid and flexible packaging categories (plastic films, preforms, caps/closures, corrugated cartons, strapping, labels, printing materials); collaborate with R&D on grammage, thickness, and material specifications. Vendor Governance & Cost Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations, establish should-cost models, manage supplier performance scorecards, develop backup suppliers, and monitor polymer/crude oil commodity indices and currency exposures to mitigate pricing risk.
Education & Experience
Education
Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Engineering
Experience Level
12–18+ years of relevant supply chain/procurement experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, or related polymer industries; extensive background sourcing polymer resins (PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PET, ABS, HIPS, PVC, engineering plastics, masterbatches, additives) and flexible/rigid packaging materials; reporting directly to CEO / COO / Director – Operations
